Our Story

A home on the
water's edge

Zero Water Street occupies a rare position on Charleston's most prestigious address—directly on the Battery, where the city's oldest public park meets the harborside. Built in 1849 for a shipping merchant, this gentleman's residence has welcomed travelers for nearly two centuries.

We restored the home to honor its original character: heart pine floors, hand-plastered walls, and windows that frame the same view seen from the White Point Garden promenade. Our four guest rooms each retain period details while offering modern comforts.

Breakfast is served daily in our sunlit dining room, featuring Lowcountry ingredients and recipes passed through generations of Charleston cooks.
